12th Annual SOLAS Meeting Abstracts: We are pleased to announce that abstracts are now being accepted for the annual meeting, but only through January 2, 2019. Young Investigators are encouraged to submit their own abstracts. Leading abstract presentations may receive a cash stipend to assist with travel. More information, coming soon! We look forward to your submissions--submit today!

Just a Few Days Left to Register for the SOLAS Japan 2nd Regional Meeting! More than 100 surgeons are expected to register for the educational event taking place next Saturday, November 10, 2018, in Nagoya, Japan. World-renowned surgeon, lecturer, education and SOLAS Past President Frank Phillips, MD, will be presenting on his 15 years-experience in lateral access surgery, and where the field is headed. SOLAS Members: 2019 membership renewals will begin on November 1st. The renewal process has now been simplified. There is no longer a form to be completed. An invoice for your dues will be emailed with a link to pay. We appreciate your patronage and look forward to seeing you in 2019.

Exciting News! True to our mission, SOLAS invests in lateral research. In 2017, $100,000 was identified. Currently, the organization is seeking more funding to make available to its members. As that money becomes available, SOLAS will call for applications. (To learn more about currently funded research, please click here.) 

Donations in any amount to SOLAS are always appreciated, as your support helps our specialty grow ever stronger through essential research.
